We are a growing practice that was established in 1988 by Dr. John Wagoner. Wagoner Medical Group is an Internal Medicine and Nephrology practice. We work closely together in caring for our patients from young adulthood through the senior years.
Our Skilled team of physicians emphasize preventive medicine as well as treat acute illness and the management of chronic disease such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Respiratory problems. We also treat illnesses due to hormonal imbalance, infectious diseases and disorders of the digestive system. We work with patients on depression and stress-related issues as well. We also have an on staff Nephrologist to treat Kidney disease and on staff Infectious Disease specialist for chronic and acute infections, Hep C, HIV, wounds, etc.
We practice Traditional Medicine, which means we are you doctor both in our clinic and in the hospital. We are affiliated with Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. When necessary we will refer you to a specialist for further examination and treatment, however, we will remain your primary care physician, coordinating your care and making sure all your needs are met.

Wagoner Medical Group would like to welcome Dr. Purva Gumaste, MD to our group. Dr. Gumaste specializes in Infectious Disease and is available for consults both in clinic and at the hospital.
Dr. Gumaste is board certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and Geriatric Medicine.
Dr. Gumaste attended Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in India. She then went onto to do her Internship and Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. She complete her Infectious Disease fellowship at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
She and her husband, Dr. Amarinder Garcha (Nephrologist with Wagoner Medical Group), have a beautiful daughter and a handsome son, they live in Grand Island.
Dr. Gumaste is interested in treating and managing all sorts of Infectious Disease including Hepatitis C as well as HIV, MRSA, chronic disease, etc.
She is accepting all new patients by physician referral.
